 A Bren Carrier

Carriers were an instrumental part of the British army throughout the Second World War, they were used for just about everything, towing, transporting personnel/ammunition, scouting, mortar/flame thrower carriers, machine gun carriers. Before the war there were several types of Carrier - Bren, Scout, Machine gun and it was realised that a single model would be more beneficial and so the Universal Carrier entered production at he start of 1940. Over 68,000 of these vehicles were produced by the United Kingdom alone with easily another 50,000 being produced by the Commonwealth and USA making it one of the most produced AFVs of all time.
